New Latin Piece - December 31, 2004

The last new piece of the year. It is a latin, jazzy small ensemble - not quite sure the type of piece it is. Modern Jazz Samba.

More Musics - December 24, 2004

Yes, yes... more royalty-free music. This time I've added one you know - Take Me Out to the Ballgame. Also a Latin Comparsa, and an orchestral piece "Ghost Processional".

In other news...

I just found Piano Society. It has free downloads of copyright-free music from all the big composers played by some astonishingly good pianists. Sites like this make me glad there is a web. I recommend the Schubert and Prokofiev.

New Essay - December 16, 2004

Hey! It's a Cantata! 3+ years since I wrote my last music essay, I bring you the cantata. And of course, more royalty-free music (Ghost Processional in the "Orchestral" section)

More Musics - December 1, 2004

I am continuing to add royalty-free musics at a rate of one per week. Since my last update, I've added 2 versions of a Salsa, one experimental piece, and a couple of Beethoven pieces - including a string quintet. Enjoy!

More Royalty Free Music - November 16, 2004

It's a Beethoven Octet! Written in his early years, and never published, this is a super nice Wind Octet. If you're a fan of Mozart, this may also be appealing.

Listen to the Rondino.

More Royalty Free Musics - October 21, 2004

Themed royalty-free music is now available. Multiple pieces of music all based on a single theme. Useful mainly for video projects.

Take a listen.

Configurable Range in Multi-Month Calendars - October 19, 2004

You can now get a calendar similar to the Yearly Calendars (one page) starting at any month and going for any number of months (3 to 20).

I've had lots of requests for 9 or 10 month calendars starting in September or August or October... but I couldn't keep up with the specific requests.
Now you can get whatever you want, however you want.
See it in action!

New Royalty Free Piece - September 6, 2004

I just put up a Cumbia. It ends really big. I also put up a faster version (as fast as possible without destroying it) for those who grow impatient with the laid-back tempo.

New Loops, and Reorg - June 21, 2004

More loops more ways. In addition to the p2p network availability, I also have a BitTorrent tracker set up to serve out files. If you don't have a client, you can get one here: http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/

There is a massive new loop pack available with Orchestral loops. The wavs were rendered using Gigastrings, and the quality is fantastic. Everything you need to know is on the Loops page.

Site Clean-up - June 11, 2004

Thanks to Stuart A Nicholls I have changed my unsightly tables/javascript navigation to pure CSS navigation. Not that javascript doesn't have its uses, I still use it - but now I can do navigation effects without it!

Ads and Anti-Ads - June 5, 2004

As you may have noticed, I added Google ads to the site to help make some money and help people find things they want.

Yeah... they started to annoy me, too.

So I put a handy "switch" on this site so you can toggle them off and on! The link is located at the bottom of the navigation bar on the left. They stay off for 3 months. When they come back on, just turn them off again! Cookies are required.

More Loops! - May 6, 2004

It has been a while since I put out more loops. I still don't have enough for a new "themed" pack, but I put together a Misc pack. ~24 meg and 38 loops, this pack contains a few piano, a few orchestral, and a few electronic loops.

Enjoy!

Best and Worst May 4th, 2004

I added links to all pages of the best and worst rated pages on my site. I don't know how it will affect their respective ratings... but it'll be interesting to see.

More Royalty Free! - April 13, 2004

I didn't add any new music, but I did just clarify a few things that people have been asking about as of late: the Royalty-Free Music.

In a related move, I decided to change all the genre-based pieces I've made to royalty-free.

Easy Graph Papers! - April 4, 2004

I got a lot of great feedback from my last PDF newsletter, and I've put together a simple way to make graph paper with specific grids. You just enter the size of square, and how many you want - it does the rest!

Check it out: http://www.incompetech.com/beta/plainGraphPaper/easy.pl
Yes, it is available in metric...

More Metric Graph Papers! - March 31, 2004

You asked for it; you got it! Now you can easily make graph paper in metric without converting cm to inches all the time. It supports metric paper sizes as well.
Check it out: http://www.incompetech.com/beta/plainGraphPaper/metricTriple.html

Site Ratings - March 7, 2004

As of... NOW you can rate the usefulness of each page on incompetech! This will help me identify useful pages, as well as problematic ones. So go out and rate what you see, it really does help. It uses a little javascript gizmo which does cookie things, and ties into a little database on the back end. If it doesn't work for you - maybe you have javascript-y problem, or cookie issues.

Polish Calendar Update - February 17, 2004

PDF Newsletter One!

The calendar PDFs have been updated to contain the correct month case in Polish. I don't know Polish, and it doesn't surprise me I got this wrong. Special thanks to Pawel from the Polish Mathematical School for sending me the correct month, day, and day abbreviations!
