April 08, 2008 - Filler Paper

The people have spoken, and they want filler paper... without so many confusing options.
Behold! Notebook Paper!
It even comes with the new "grad-school" lined option with half the header, and 3.55mm line spacing.
"That's manifesto paper right there..."
- Forrest
October 26, 2007 - Note-Taking X4!
For those of you who wanted the note-taking paper in other orientations - those options are now available in all varieties... lined, graph, and music notation!
Need the summary on top? No problem. How about the cue area on the right? Easy to do!
Enjoy!
(Thanks to Ivan who actually did all the work on this update.)
October 23, 2007 - Perspectives

It must have been dozens of times you've come to this site looking "just the right kind of perspective grid" for your project... Well, after years of requests... and several headaches induced by API2 module documentation, it is finally here.
Configurable Single Point Perspective Grids!
Now I'm going to go have a celebration cupcake.
October 20, 2007 - New Triangles
Variable Triangle PDF Generator. Still experimental... in that it should work, and appears to - but I've no real way of testing it. If you need some isosceles triangles that cover a plane, but something other than the equilateral-type... this should be for you!
May 18, 2007 - Circles and Dots in Triangles
Finally! Some new graph papers!

The Circular generator is particularly notable because it has a radius multiplier, which can give you results like these... (1, 1.5, and 2 respectively)
April 22, 2007 - International Graph Paper Day
It is now April 22nd, and you know that means. International Graph Paper Day. And to celebrate, we at incompetech have done some massive upgrades to our services!
Faster scripts, smaller files, better color pickers, fewer errors... just all around better!
So check it all the new goodness!
Circles, perspective, probability, and a host of others are on their way!
January 25, 2007 - Enter the Octagon
Can you cover a plane with regular octagons? Heck no! But that doesn't stop people from asking... What are they looking for? This (Octagon) !
As a side bet... While doing this, I did find a way to cover a plane with octagons. Yes, a 2d plane. All the octagons are the same size. Try it at home!
January 24, 2007 - Moorish Gridwork
I don't know much about Moorish tessellations, but I got a request and it seems this type of thing would be useful. It took a few hours, but it should save many people much time. Have a look!
January 24, 2007 - Music Notation and Note-taking
I've had an astonishing five requests for Cornell note-taking coupled with music notation in the last couple of months. I suspect the demand for this is pretty darned high, so here's version one:
Note-Taking Plus Music Notation
Enjoy!
December 11, 2006 - Work People and Film Folks
By special request, there is not a month-on-a-page calendar that only shows Monday through Friday (or whatever Monday and Friday are called in those other languages...)
http://www.incompetech.com/beta/cal-weekday/
Nifty, huh?
Also by request of a friend of mine, the Storyboard maker has a dealie where you can enter the name of your production, and it'll print it as a header to make your storyboard seem more official, despite your unintelligible scrawlings.
If you're a director who works only during the week, well - this is an embarrassment of an update for you.
November 29, 2006 - Cross-plot grid PDF Generator

Ok, I don't know what to call this thing. I got a request for this today, and it was pretty simple to do. I've seen these types of grid with data plots before. Be careful with this, as it can add a lot of visual clutter to your data if done wrong. I recommend light colors and thin lines. But you can do whatever you want...
Enjoy!
October 01, 2006 - Storyboards!
Filmmakers have one more reason to visit incompetech.com!
Check it out.
They have variable aspect ratios, optional description lines, and an optional title line. I'm sure people will request more features, but for now it works pretty well!
August 04, 2006 - More ways to measure time
Monthy Calendars now have 2 new options to measure time; Inset day of year, and week numbers!
Many people from many countries have wanted the week numbers, and they appear to be a hit. They're more complicated than you might think - and they are calculated differently depending on whether your week starts on Monday or Sunday. They should always give you the week number that you expect for your local calendar.
There are additional features, as well. The line drawing has been optimized, and the PDF file proper is compressed to about 25% of the old files' size. It is also faster. Thank you all for your patience, and enjoy!
Special thanks to Ivan who did all the work!
July 27, 2006 - Yearly Calendar Upgrade
A long-time formatting issue with the dates on the Yearly Calendar PDFs have been fixed!
Also, the problem has been fixed with 0-byte length returns on the yearly calendars, so you get them more reliably now with browser plug-ins.
I'm also going to announce that some news features are coming to the Monthy calendars... so if you've been waiting - they're just around the corner! I will say that no other online calendar has these features, and that they have been on my to-do list for over 9 months!
April 29, 2006 - General Ledger
If the big ledger sheets I have are too complex for your needs, I now have simple general ledgers available!
2 Column ones are for simple Credit / Debit... 3 columns are for... hrmm... I'm not sure - but they were requested. 8.5 x 11 only. One color scheme only.
April 28, 2006 - Bold Major Axes
Graph Paper with Bolded Major Axes
Well - not by default, but it is an option now. There's a checkbox that makes all your Cartesian dreams come true... if you dream of an origin roughly in the center of the page.
March 30, 2006 - Norwegian
Hey! If you're Norwegian, you're in luck! I just added support of Norwegian calendars.
