July 01, 2009 - Captain Stargood!

Captain Stargood

A neat retro piece. Brilliant! BRILLIANT, I SAY!

Tamu Öyküleri Bölüm I - Kan ve Vanilya

This is an amazing piece.
It is like a modern film noir.
Strangely, I'm the only guy in the credits who is not Turkish. You should check this out just to hear the voice acting. This may be my new favourite language.

iPhone Apps

Just a couple of interesting apps from the iPhone App store. Kolonists, and AirCoaster 3D.

NASA

Plus, NASA Blueshift asked me to put a direct link in for those people who listen to podcasts - but don't have iTunes. So, for both of you; Here you go! :-)

April 23, 2009 - A Prayer

In the time of great economic turmoil comes a momentary reflection.

April 13, 2009 - Questionable Tuning

A perfect setting for the Danse of Questionable Tuning. Sadly, Bryan is currently on tour with his cello, and I expect this performance will not be able to be repeated ever. :-)

April 04, 2009 - New Choirs are Coming

Here's a little preview of a piece after one day with it (well, actually, just a couple of hours).

March 27, 2009 - Damsel Part 8

Cheers!

March 20, 2009 - I never do this...

I was sent a short animation of such pure awesome, that I'm going to break my own rules, and ask you to leave my website to go watch it.

Please come back afterward.

Enjoy!

Otis v. Monster

March 08, 2009 - Damsel

This just in: Episode 7
(don't worry too much, it starts with a recap)

Okay, the music isn't all from me, but it is a pretty fun series that is super "New York".

January 07, 2009 - Yet Another Travel Show

"Yet Another Travel Show" is actually the title of the show. It is a pretty neat and expansive production that includes some longer edits of interesting events that would be atypical in a network TV travel show. I think they are used to great effect. The music used is quite familiar, too. :-)

December 19, 2008 - I did an interview? Crazy!

NSider Select Radio Episode 4.

I did an extended interview - while on the street. I don't recall what I said - but it was hopefully interesting. :-)
Probably about 20 minutes in.

December 10, 2008 - John Cleese

I really shouldn't be geeking out about this, but I am. John Cleese. I am super proud to be a part of anything with John Cleese. :-)

November 28, 2008 - Scoring Help: Part One

November 12, 2008 - Riding Hood Animation

I do not know what sort of style this is, but I do like it!

September 22, 2008 - Welcome to the Show

Hey! "Welcome to the Show" is used to intro a Will Ferrell video!

See more Will Ferrell videos at Funny or Die

A credit would have been nice.

...just saying... :-)

August 02, 2008 - Trailer for a Non-Movie

The film does not and will not exist, but I'll post the soundtrack in the clean after I work on it some more.
Just fun.

May 24, 2008 - No updates in a while...

Um... sorry everyone.
I have been working - just not really hard recently. There's lots of reasons.

In any event. Every now and again, I find a video with my music in it that, for some reason or another, I really like. So here's one. It is from Elise Harris. I would tell you about her, but I don't know a darn thing.
Bonus points for creepy honesty, and mention of Doctor Who's cat people.

Also, you can put me on your twitter list, if you like. "kmacleod"
I'm not posting really until I get enough people to make it worth while, so it may be disappointing for a week or two.

January 30, 2008 - Pronunciation Help

November 13, 2007 - You Tube?

Ok... I knew I was on YouTube in a few things. But randomly today, I found out just how many. I picked out three things... completely unrelated, and found my music in all three. (unattributed. seriously people, how much am I asking for here?)

So I went to look at the Recently Featured. I am in number 4, 5, and 7 of the top ten.

This is crazy. I should be getting more jobs.

Dear everyone;
Hire me for your independent film score.

Thank you.

September 03, 2007 - Contest!

Who wants to see an ad about ketchup?
Me too!
And you can vote for a commercial that I scored. It is called "Respect the Taste" and is quite good.
Find it, vote, and enjoy.

April 03, 2007 - New Shows

I've been getting a lot of good content sent to me recently... here are a couple of my favorites.

  • Rogue Cursor from Attack of the Show
  • Give and Take an award winning short... and by award I mean "1st place"... in... something.

Oh! And my favorite voice-over guy sent me a new demo. He's a good guy to work with... and the man has pipes.

January 23, 2007 - Hey! That's me!

Well, I turned up in a few more places recently... Mean Well (Elvie at Godo) a Filipino feature that I really don't know anything more about... The Cult of Austin Film Festival which I do know more about... and InDigital Episode 10 with Wil Wheaton. If one counts 'crew'... and it was a film - I'd have a Kevin Bacon number of 3... but it isn't, so I don't. yet.
I do have a John C. Dvorak (dvorak.org/blog/) Number of 1.

November 21, 2006 - Podcast Mania

I'm really getting around these days. If you're into tech podcasts, you'll recognize these. Diggnation, Infected w/ Martin Sargent, and Indigital. I just need to get in with Leo Laport, and I'll have most everything covered.

In other news, I have music in A&E's upcoming special on Madonna, Blame Society's Fun Rangers, and a radio drama - Father Brown Mysteries available in the US on XM and Sirius, and I think BBC radio in the UK.

Fun stuff.

July 20, 2006 - Falcon Byron TV Flash!

Audio Dramas: The Falcon Banner
http://www.darkerprojects.com/
New Episode online; #5. It has music that I composed for eps 2 and 4 in it - because I didn't have the time to provide a full new score. Very nice edits. I'm really into this story - but the book is $18 plus shipping... Maybe I'll get it if I'm super impulsive one of these days.

Audio Dramas: Byron Chronicles
http://www.darkerprojects.com/
Remember when I said I was busy? I was doing some of these. Episodes 1 and 2 are online. Ep 2 is hilarous.

IPTV? CFZTV
http://www.cfztv.com/
Uh... I'm not sure what this is exactly (internet-based media channel?), but it has some of the same score from the Byron Chronicles in it.

Website: http://www.kennewick-man.com/
http://www.kennewick-man.com/
Somewhere on this site there is a presentation with my music... I've not found it yet. Oh well.

June 14, 2006 - Falcon Banner, Pasokon, Chew, et al.

Audio Dramas: The Falcon Banner
http://www.darkerprojects.com/
These are very very cool, check them out. I did episodes 2 and 4, but you'll want to get 1 and 3 or it won't make sense.

Audio Adaptation: Pasokon
http://productions.lovelyv.net/pasokon/
I believe this in an audio adaptation of a comic; and it is pretty nice! Good voice acting; good story; very good production... It is just plain good! I recommend checking this out - especially if you're into Anime.

Theatrical Short: Dancing for Peanuts
http://gbifg.proboards41.com/
This is a silent-era period piece shot in HD; The first piece I've done in HD... actually the first time I've _seen_ HD. It looks lovely! I did a full custom score for it, but I don't think it is online yet.

Theatrical Featurette: Chew
http://www.exquisitebeast.com/films.htm
I've seen the rough cut of this. I recommend not reading the plot blurb before seeing the piece, as it is a crazy spoiler. Screening In July in New York.

Geometry Demo: How Round is your Circle
I'm in a multimedia addendum(?) to a soon to be published book from Chris Sangwin (School of Mathematics, University of Birmingham). I've not seen the book, but from what I can tell it is a non-technical geometry book.

Website: Uri Planet
http://www.uriplanet.com/
I hear I'm somewhere on this site... note sure where. But I likes the Russia.

More to come soon... I'm way behind on my email.

June 03, 2006 - Obsession, Vampires, Downtime

DVD Product: Extreme Downtime
I'm not certain on which of the DVD's my music is featured, but it is on something! Personally - I just like the concept of Extreme Downtime! Woohoo! Relaxation!! [website]

Feature Film: Dance with a Vampire
I just got a DVD of this one in the mail, and despite what the credits page says - my music is definitely used in it. Heck, it is used in the opening scene! It is quite a long film (almost 2 hours) but the makeup effects are very very good. [website]

Featurette: Obsession
I don't know a lot about this one... other than it was submitted to Progeny Film Festival in Blacksburg, VA
and has a runtime of 20 minutes. Soon to be seen in Norway and Ontario, Canada? Not sure - I'll keep you updated when I am futher updated. [no site available]

May 10, 2006 - 23:20, IMDB

23:20 is now done and available online! I didn't do all the score, but I did do some custom scoring for one of the scenes, and a lot of my music was used for other scenes... but not the opening sequence.

I got myself on IMDB for a film called "Run" from Matt Zien. The film has screened at a few festivals, and got listed at IMDB. Sounds like it is going well!

Congrats, guys! Things are looking good!

Oh. This one is in Norwegian - but it works well even if you don't understand the words.

April 22, 2006 - Cranky Geeks

Holy Mother of Cranks! I just subscribed to the Cranky Geeks podcast after hearing about it on TWiT. The opening title is ME! Hilarious! This is cool - I was having a bad day up to now. Thanks John C. Dvorak (dvorak.org/blog)!

Wow. That's an old piece with bad samples. I almost should redo it... but I have a feeling they want the cheese. Email me if you want a new one, John!

"...we're going to try to be as cranky about it as possible. If that polka music doesn't do it for you - nothing will."

April 14, 2006 - Weddings; Damnation; Charles Bronson; Arizona

Website: New stuff to Sweden!
http://www.weddings.se/frida_eng.htm
Mark Earthy commissioned some new piano stuff. I'm not done with all the pieces... but they are already cropping up on the site. Good stuff!

Short Film: "The Frequency of Damnation"
Shot in a day, edited in a day. This is a... I'm not certain the genre - but I'll say death is involved. I didn't do all the soundtrack, but bits and pieces of my stuff is in it. The end result is here:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6647289850857906035

Shorts: The One Minute Show
These are awesome. That is all I will say.

April 05, 2006 - 23:20; PBS; Edison Death Machine

Sightings!

Cinematic Featurette: Eleven-Twenty (23:20)
Still in production, this piece is from our fine friends across the pond in the U.K. It is a horror piece with a darned fine story. It features some of my stock music, and one scene that I scored specifically for them.
Check out the trailer at the Swansea Bay Film Festival site.

Online Interactive Project: PBS's POV / American Documentary
As of this posting it isn't online, but I thought it was interesting enough to list here. Post a comment if you see it go live. You're looking for "Borders: American Documentary".
pbs.org/pov

Feature Film: Edison Death Machine
A "vintage" feature film from the director of Zombie Planet. A trailer is available along with lots of other notes. Looks to be fun!
The web site (ZP International).

April 03, 2006 - Ex-Mas, Sweden, Rwanda

Feature Film Trailer: Ex-Mas Eve
http://silveredgefilms.com/downloads.htm
It is a nice trailer, and looks to be a cool movie. I worked with the director to get custom music for this trailer, and will be scoring the movie - scheduled for release November 2006.

Website: wedding photographers in stockholm sweden
Mark Earthy - http://www.weddings.se/pictures.htm
Nothing says 'wedding' like touching piano solos. These slideshows are better than most. :-)

Online Video: Richard Bangs Adventures
http://www.adventures.yahoo.com/
I'm not sure when this one is going live, but my African pieces were used in the Rwanda segments.

March 30, 2006 - First Post

This catagory is for listing people who are using my music in their projects. Today I have 2 new listings and an update.

Update - Movie: Forfeit
A film about a guy in Oshkosh trying to have fun... despite being in Oshkosh used a few pieces of my music, and was awarded 3rd place at "Films on the Fox"! They plan to enter it into other festivals.
Congrats to Erik Cieslewicz and the crew.

New - Video Game: Easter Bonus
Sort of a puzzle, switcher, matcher game with a bunny theme. My music is only in levels 5 and 13 (and every eight after that) - but it is a fun game, and I wasted a few hours on it.
http://www.cloverleafgames.com/download.php?id=1037
It is Windows-only for the big version. There is apparently also a Flash version...

New - Audio Book: Serenity
A 6-hour long audio book with piano music wall-to-wall. I'll get these guys some more solo material if I have some time, and am feeling particularly 'serene'.
