Instruments: Piano, Synths, Brass
Feel: Eerie, Unnerving, Dark
Oh! The horror! This is NOT a fun piece. It WILL make you feel like there is something seriously wrong. Did those veins on my forearm always look like that? I mean, they're doing a weird criss-cross pattern... and they look REALLY blue. I would have noticed that before, surely! I wonder if this has anything to do with the meteor that came down in Mr. Wilson's pond last night? Uncompressed download comes with 4 stem files in case you don't need all the creepy, all the time.
Instruments: Drums, Bass, Guitar, Organ, Trumpet, Trombone, Tenor Sax
Feel: Bouncy, Bright, Grooving
Run of the mill ska!? No such thing! Well, this is as close to that reality as you can get. It is high energy, dance-inducing, happy fun times for everyone who was born after... like... the Industrial Revolution... So, there may be some trees and fungi that don't find this fun; but, I can't really care about their concepts of fun too much. I assume they don't like winters, but they just all sort of stand around all the time. You can download this in uncompressed format here. Download comes with individual tracks so you can make your own mixes.
|Silver Blue Light
"Silver Blue Light"
Instruments: Guitar, Synths
Feel: Bright, Calming, Relaxed
Sparse in it?s instrumentation, Silver Blue Light is quiet and pensive with atmospheric synthesized chords and guitar.. There isn?t much of a melodic line to this piece until well into the fifth minute. In the third minute the guitar plays a few high notes, and the key changes briefly, which occurs again in the final twenty seconds as well.
Feel: Calming, Relaxed, Somber
Calm piano solo centered around a repeating Ab motive. 20 seconds before end the motive expands slightly with an added harmony.
Feel: Calming, Dark, Eerie, Mysterious, Relaxed, Somber, Unnerving
Somber Solo Piano, with repetitive descending arpeggio motive. Contains uplifting moments, but generally sparse and mysterious.
|Impromptu in Blue
"Impromptu in Blue"

Impromptu performed on a Steinway Model D tuned to Quarter Comma Meantone. In this piece the most out-of-tune notes give it a feel that is not often heard in contemporary piano music.
Feel: Dark, Eerie, Unnerving
Synth Pad with several swells.
Instruments: Drums, Kalimba, Dulcimer, Synths, Kit, Guitar
Feel: Aggressive, Dark, Intense
An odd mix of African pseudo-polyrhythm and modern overdriven synths. Major feel changes at both 30 seconds and 2 minutes in.
