This is a "first name database/search" thingie. Its uses are nearly endless.
Actually, they're quite finite - Here are some examples:
- Help writers come up with names for characters for stories.
- Help parents-to-be find a name for their progeny.
- Find out what your name means.
The database is still under a rework.
Currently the database over 11,000 primary name entries,
and about 30,000 variations.
Tips
When searching by meaning, remember to try synonyms if you can't find what
you're looking for. For instance, if you want a name that means
"beautiful" or "noble", don't forget to try "lovely" and "highborn" or
even "queen". Also, think phonetically.
If you can't find the name Lena, try Lina or Leena.
