Instruments: Synths, Bass, Santur, Drums
Feel: Grooving, Bouncy, Mysterious
There is nothing in this piece that is even vaguely reminiscent of "La Macarena". I shouldn't have said that. I should not have said that. Don't go listening for it, for such a journey will surely end in tragedy.
|Android Sock Hop
"Android Sock Hop"
Instruments: Drums, Bass, Organ, Synth, Guitar
Feel: Bouncy, Grooving, Humorous
This has a couple funny-sounding synths and plenty of whitespace. As a note to YouTube "producers"; 10 hours of this piece would be pretty mean. 1 hour of this piece isn't much better. For the sake of mankind, please do not make extended mixes of this piece. I can not be held responsible for mental anguish caused by repeated listening.
Instruments: Synths, Percussion, Guitar
Feel: Bouncy, Grooving, Dark
Deeply satisfying synths play in a slightly dystopian domain. So if you have a film where a future vampire who owns a travelling carnival comes back in time to today with a crazy assemblage of experiences for today's currently not-yet-jaded audiences... that is your piece! Also useful for cat parkour.
Instruments: Theramin, Choir, Organ, Percussion, Basses
Feel: Dark, Grooving, Humorous
SpoooooOOoooky! Nothing says comedically spooky quite like a theramin. I don't actually own a theramin, so I cheated. Like I do. This one was created with the ES2 synth, which everyone I know hates and/or fears. It really is just misunderstood, and is quite lovely at parties.
Instruments: Drums, Bass, Vibraphone, Guitar, Trumpet, Trombones, Violins, Other
Feel: Calming, Relaxed, Unnerving
Welcome to the tropical paradise of Port Horizon. Not much to do here but listen to the short wave radios and play guitar. There is also food and drinks with those little umbrellas... Other than that - not much. Except snorkeling. Snorkeling is pretty cool. Oh, there is also Art Night on Tuesday - where you get a volleyball and some paints and make yourself a friend! Beach chess... I forgot about Beach Chess. Don't play white against Todd, though - he plays all-Hedgehog all the time. Come on, Todd - just once, seriously ONCE could you play King's Indian or... you know what? I'd even take the French Defence; Exchange Variation, you boring symmetrical jerk.
|Fife and Drum
"Fife and Drum"
Instruments: Fife, Drum
Welcome to Historic Williamsburg! Nestled between "That's-OK Greenpoint" and "Still-Kinda-Frightening-In-Many-Areas Bushwick", Historic Williamsburg offers you a link to the past that you'll love! Trucker hats, coffee shops, mustache wax, artisanal mac+cheese, used book stores - come experience part of America's Past! And when you're done; "Get the 'L out of Williamsburg!" [ *L may not be running. ] You can download this in uncompressed format here. Download comes with individual tracks so you can make your own mixes.
|Kings of Tara
"Kings of Tara"
Instruments: Bass, Drums, Kit, Guitar, Flute, Banjo
Feel: Bouncy, Bright, Grooving
This one is just cool. If you just tried to dance to this and fell over, that's because every measure is missing one beat. Still it grooves quite well, assuming you can groove in 7/4 time. Uncompressed download comes with individual tracks so you can make your own mixes.
|Waltz of the Carnies
"Waltz of the Carnies"
Instruments: Organ, Xylophone, Percussion
Feel: Bouncy, Dark, Humorous, Unnerving
Creepy off-putting circus music. Also features some honking horns later in the piece. You can download this in uncompressed format here! Comes with all parts on their own AND in three different tempos AND includes a bonus track (in 2/4 time).
Instruments: Piano, Pipe Organ, Violins
Okay, it SAYS piano, pipe organ, and violins - but it doesn't sound like that. And it SAYS somber, but it isn't really. What this is - is a Really powerful piece.
|Gypsy Shoegazer No Voices
"Gypsy Shoegazer No Voices"
Instruments: Percussion, Piano, Trombone
Feel: Calming, Dark, Eerie, Somber
No, I don't know what this is. Same as Gypsy Shoegazer, but without the vocal parts... in case you want to add you own vocal parts. Sheet music for the voices available here.
Sheet Music: Available!
