Games and Pomodoro
November 27, 2025
It isn't all about music and graph paper. I like making little games and utilities. They may not be the most feature-rich or polished, but at least they aren't evil!
Islandoro
Islandoro is a simple and cute pomodoro timer for your Windows computer. No tracking. No ads. No nonsense. Some seagulls.
Danger Academy
Casual games from Danger Academy
I make a lot of little games just for myself. Sometimes it is a game I got on the app store, but it only lets you play once per day.
Sometimes, it was a game that was on the store, but the developer pulled it.
Sometimes, it was a cool game that was made unplayable with ad breaks.
Chromadoku is probably the coolest casual game here. Everything is free, and most things you can download the source code if you want to make changes!
If you're on the geekier side, and would like to see a practical application of a Hamiltonian Cycle, check out Hexa - a word find game. It isn't terribly obvious that it uses Hamiltonian Cycles... that was just the easiest way I thought up to generate infinite boards.
I have good luck adding these to my tablet's home screen. Most download locally and keep stats locally (no network calls). Also works on phones! Enjoy!
Barroom Ballet Sheet Music

incompetech 2025
November 18, 2025
The new website is finally online! I did what I could to make it work, and I'll be watching error logs for major issues, but if you come across
errors or bugs, please email me - kevin@incompetech.com
If you had any scripts that relied on my data - they should all still work.
New Site Design
November 18, 2025
Yes, incompetech looks different, but it should operate the same! Major upgrades include:
- Dark Mode/Light Mode Toggle.
- Responsive design for better rendering on narrow devices and smaller windows.
- Music Search Improvements. All pieces now show up in searches; Downloads are faster/easier; Mini-player is movable and prettier.
- Calendar User Interface Update. It wasn't great when I made it in 2008... it still isn't great, but it is much nicer.
- NameDB Updates. A lesser used part of this site is the venerable "NameDB". Search has been upgraded, and the source data is now exposed for those who want to use it.
There are more changes. A lot more. I updated links that have been broken for over 10 years. It was Spring Cleaning - but for a web site. If you find problems, please email me!
Focus on Privacy
November 18, 2025
I no longer run Google Ads, and I no longer use site-tracking analyitics. I can say that it is a user-focused change, but in reality - I haven't checked my site stats in 7 years. All the data was being collected and analyzed for no one. So, it isn't a downgrade for me. Also, everything goes just a bit faster!
Honestly, ads are absolutely ruining user experience on the web. Some browsers do a pretty good job of blocking a bunch, but they don't get them all. Those chum-box ads at the bottom of so many news sites are 100% awful. This is now one site, nearly alone in the wilderness, with no subscriptions, no cookies, and no ads.
More Access to Music
November 18, 2025
For many years, I had a product where you could download all my music at once. I also had over 250 large downloads for sale individually for people that needed altername takes, parts broken out into stems, midi files, sheet music... Basically everything I had for those specific pieces. Those downloads are NOW INCLUDED with the main site download! That's 100gig of data.
If you have purchased this from me in the past, your original download link will still work, and you can pick up any of the extended pieces you want now! If you've lost your link, email me - and I can recover it for you.
